Preparations for the annual Tusker Challenge Cup are complete. The winners of the championship sponsored by giant beer makers, Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL), will earn Tsh40million (US$32,000).

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) General Secretary, Friedrick Mwakalebela, said six teams would compete in the tournament. "We have finalised preparations for the event, but other details would be communicated to you later," Mwakalebela told Daily News.

Tanzanian Mtibwa Sugar won the title last year, while Uganda's URA finished second, as Simba SC were third. He said TBL through the Tusker brand are the sponsors of the tournament, which runs for the seventh year in a row.
