Emana Thanks Le Guen For Cameroon Call-Ups
After having a terrible summer, the midfielder is thankful Paul Le Guen is still calling him up for the Indomitable Lions.
Cameroonian international Achille Emana has had a difficult summer to say the least with the death of his father, a failed transfer to the Premiership and little playing time with Betis Seville relegated to the Spanish second division.
Fortunately for him, the Indomitable Lions are there to comfort him. That's what he told French newspaper France Football's website.
"What a deep joy it would be if we get to go. With Cameroon I'm living again. The selection is above everything in my eyes. Paul Le Guen has brought us the serenity once again. Working with someone who knows football quite well, but also his players - since almost all of us have gone through the Ligue 1 - motivates us, it makes you want to move on together."
Cameroon are the current leaders of their group with 10 points, and they will face Morocco (4th, 3 points) on November 14 in Fez in the last match of the joint qualifiers for the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola and the 2010 World Cup.
In the interview Emana also talked about his reasons for not coming this summer in France, as he seems to be carrying a troublemaker's reputation there and explained that was the reason why neither Paris nor Monaco gave Betis offers after talking extensively with his agent.
