Khaled Ben Sassi Replaces Lofti Rhim As Etoile Du Sahel Coach
There is a new man in charge at the Tunisian club...
Tunisian club Etoile du Sahel have replaced coach Lofti Rhim with Khaled Ben Sassi after they fell 2-0 at CS Sfaxien last weekend.
The Sousse-based side have struggled this season and are fifth on the table with 16 points from nine matches, eight points behind leaders and defending champions Esperance of Tunis.
Rhim, who guided Etoile through the group stages of this year's CAF Champions League, has hinted on quitting Etoile due to a string of poor results recently.
He has quit the club along with his assistant, physical trainer and goalkeeper trainer.
His replacement, Ben Sassi, is a former Etoile player who will be assisted by Mohamed Mkacher, who was in charge of the club's junior section.
Another Tunisian top flight club, CS Hammam Lif, have also changed their coach.
Frenchman Gerard Buscher has replaced Fethi Labidi after seven defeats, which have seen them languish in the basement of the Tunisian league championship after nine matches.
Buscher has previously worked with the youth section of Esperance of Tunis in the 2007-08 season.
