The Group A match at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup between host nation Nigeria and Germany has been shifted by half an hour as a result of heavy downpour at the match venue in Abuja.
The match was originally slated to kick off at 7 pm local time, but following a heavy downpour which made the Abuja National Stadium pitch waterlogged and almost unplayable during the preceding game involving Argentina and Honduras, organisers were forced to delay the kick-off to allow the water drain.
The match will now kick off at 7:30 pm local time.
In the other late game of the day, tournament favourites Brazil will take on Japan in Group B in Lagos.
There will be four matches on Sunday. In Group C in the coastal town of Calabar, Iran will tackle African champions the Gambia, while Colombia battle the Netherlands. In Group D in the eastern town of Enugu, Turkey face Burkina Faso and Costa Rica will be up against New Zealand.
