Tunisian national team doctor Hamed Kammoun has been appointed as Vice President of Etoile Sportive du Sahel’s football section, after a meeting between him and the side’s officials on Tuesday.
Kammoun used to play for the side and was picked to help strengthen the framework of the team, which is in a delicate period after having sold many of their finest players in the last two years, resulting in their Champions league exit last month, as well as their below part start to the domestic campaign.
According to infosfoot.net, the doctor has already met with head coach Lotfi Rhim, but he is expected to officially take over the role once the Carthage Eagles return from their trip to Maputo on November 14, where they will face Mozambique in a match which will determine whether they qualify for the 2010 World Cup or not.
After that, Kammoun will no longer be tied to the Tunisian national team's technical staff.
