Oliver has a three-year contract with Orlando Pirates and is still training with the club, insists his agent Jorge Abong...Recent reports in South Africa have suggested that Oliver and Blaise Kiaku were no longer at the club, because they were not good enough to make the cut.
Kiaku, who signed a two-year contract, is back in the DRC playing for AS Vita Club and Bucs administrator Floyd Mbele has, on previous occasions, said the player will return to Pirates once he secures a work permit.
Oliver was at training with the team on Monday at the Johannesburg Stadium according to KickOff.com and Abong made it clear that the player is still a Pirate.
“I know Blaise is gone, but that has nothing to do with Frank. He has signed a three-year contract with Pirates and he belongs to them. In fact, I know Frank was going to play against Platinum Stars, but his work-permit again failed to come through,” Abong said.
“I’m not even aware of stories that he is not here. He is here and as for being good enough, it makes me laugh because, at 17, he was playing for Palermo in Italy,” Abong added.
“I will let you know if there is anything, but for now, you can write that Frank is still very much a part of Pirates.”
