According to mountakhab.net, Moroccan U-20 coach Mustapha Haddaoui has selected a squad of 20 players who will participate in the upcoming Francophone Games of 2009, which will take place in Beirut, Lebanon from the 27th of September to the 6th of October.

19 of the 20 players who have been called up are based in the North African kingdom, whilst the only one who will be joining the team from abroad is Driss Fettouhi of FC Istres in France.

The move is perhaps an indication that the Moroccan National Team will be building off of their local reservoir of talent in order to ensure that the same players can contribute at senior level when the time calls for it.

Morocco find themselves in group B where they will face France, Congo, and Canada. Only the first team in the group will be guaranteed passage to the second round while the best second placed team in all the groups will advance as well.

Here is Morocco’s list of players:

Goalkeepers: Yassine Bounou (WAC), Mohammed Sokhra (MAS)

Defenders:  Omar Serbout (OCK), Hicham Ait Lkrif (RCA), Abdelilah Bendioua (KACM), Mohamed Aberhoun (MAT), El Mehdi Karnass (DHJ), Younes Lyousfi (MAS), Youssef Ettorabi (WAC)

Midfielders: Driss Fettouhi (FC Istres),  Abdelhafid Lirki (HUSA), Houcine Zaidoun (WAC), Tarik Ajouadi (WAC), Hamza Felihi Laarousi (IRT), Taoufik Dahbi (RCA)
