Brazilian Select Team Arrives In Kenya Today For Friendlies & Charity

Kenya’s Harambee Stars’ locally based players are already in camp for the game, which will also double as preparation for the 2010 World Cup qualifier in September...

The Brazilian select team that will face the Kenyan national team, the Harambee Stars, at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani on Saturday has been named.

The Brazilian squad of former internationals will arrive in Kenya today after conducting a successful tour in Burundi and Uganda over the past ten days.

Forward Paulo Sergio, a 1994 World Cup winner, will lead a side that also includes 1998 World Cup members Ze Carlos and Giovanni, as well as three other ex-Brazilian internationals: Batista; Pereira; and Silvinho.

The AEA (Association of Evangelicals in Africa), who are hosting the team in an East and Central Africa tour, said the visitors will, along with Kenyan Premier League club Nairobi City Stars, conduct coaching clinics in Nairobi on Thursday and Friday.
