Kano Pillars have been forced to fly straight to Zambia ahead of their CAF Champions League Group A match next week against Zesco United after they were refused entry visas to South Africa, where they had planned to train prior to the game.

"Our initial arrangement was to go to South Africa for a training camp before moving to Zambia, but unfortunately the embassy refused to give us visas," said club spokesman, Shehu Mohammed.

"As a result, we made an alternative arrangement, which is to travel straight to Zambia in good time."

Pillars are now expected to travel out of Nigeria on Monday. They take on Zesco United on Saturday in Lusaka.
