Kenya’s Leopards Hire Nick Yakhama To Replace Edward Manoah
Yakhama is the third coach to be hired by the former regional champions this season...
Yakhama becomes the club's third coach this season. Manoah had taken over the reins from Gilbert Selebwa, who was first suspended but opted to resign soon after the team failed to beat Bandari during the first half of the season.
A report posted on the club website said that Yakhama will work with the team’s technical director, Twahir Muhidin, who is also Harambee Stars assistant coach.
Leopards had a near-complete overhaul recently, signing 21 players mid-season while at the same time releasing 20 others during the one month transfer window in June.
Yakhama, a former Mumias Sugar player, was in the past season in charge of Western Stima.
Yakhama has the onerous task of changing Leopards' fortunes. The club are bottom of the 16 team Kenyan Premier League, boasting only 10 points from 16 games played.
