According to Mosaique FM, Nigerian international center
forward Michael Eneramo will be heavily sanctioned by Tunisian defending
champions Esperance Sportive de Tunis when he returns to the North African
country.
The player was given a week’s rest after taking part in his country’s World Cup qualifier versus the Carthage Eagles on June 20 and used it to return to his West African nation but has not come back on time and has apparently not answered a single phone call from his side who are furious with their leading scorer.
Esperance are well into their Monastir based training camp and Eneramo’s absence has provoked the ire of both team officials and supporters of the 'Blood and Gold'.
It is unclear whether his transfer status will be affected by this latest development but what is certain is that his paycheck for the upcoming month will be. Al-Ahly of Egypt had made a bid for the player but were rebuffed by Esperance who told them to increase their offer.
