Zambia Star To Exit South African Club
South African Premier Soccer League side Wits have admitted they are resigned to losing young Zambia winger Clifford Mulenga to Europe soon.
Clifford Mulenga was named Africa's best young player last year after a stand-out display in the FIFA World Youth Championship in Canada and has already played in Europe on loan with Swedish club Orgryte.
In January, a move to Israeli club Maccabi Petach Tikva fell through.
"Clifford will not be staying here for long as he would soon be back in Europe," disclosed Wits coach Roger da Sa.
"He's an exciting prospect with a great left foot."
The 21-year-old winger himself has expressed hope he will play in Europe soon with the Spanish Primera Division his preferred destination.
"My dream is to play in La Liga because I like the football being played there as well as the techniques of the players. I know I will get there soon," said the player, who has been compared to the legendary Zambian ace Kalusha Bwalya.
