Coton Sport flew into Egypt on a special chartered flight.
And to further underline just how fired up they are for Sunday’s first leg of the final against Al Ahly of Egypt, the team from Northern Cameroon have taken on board Milla (pictured), who inspired the Indomitable of Lions to become the first African team to reach the last eight of the World Cup 18 years ago.
He scored four goals at Italia ’90 and celebrated each of these goals with aplomb.
Four years later, Milla returned to the world stage at the age of 42 to become the oldest man to feature in world soccer’s biggest showpiece.
He has often been involved with Cameroonian football and was part of the national team to the last Nations Cup in Ghana.
The last Cameroonian club to win the African Champions title was Canon Yaoundé in 1980.
