Tunisia’s Ousemma Darragi And Ammar Jemal Ruled Out Of Malawi Qualifier – Report

Wissem Yahia and Lamjed Chhoudi have been called in as replacements for the injured pair.

According to Mosaique FM, both Esperance’s Ousemma Darragi and Young Boys’ Ammar Jemal have been ruled out of competing in Tunisia’s upcoming 2012 AFCON qualifier versus Malawi on September 4th due to injury. National team coach Bertrand Marchand has reportedly responded by calling up Club Africain midfielder Wissem Ben Yahia and striker Lamjed Chhoudi.

The news is a blow for the Carthage Eagles who lose two of their starters from their 3-1 away win against Chad on August 11th. Even though they won’t be taking part in this weekend’s matchup at Rades Stadium, both players will remain alongside their team-mates throughout the training camp while they pursue their rehabilitation.

Tunisia are currently on three points in Group K and are trailing Botswana by four. Malawi has two and are tied for third place with Togo. Marchand’s men will be seeking widen the gap between them and the Flames come Sunday.
