Algeria booked their ticket for the African Nations Cup semi-finals by beating favourites Ivory Coast 3-2. Midfielder Hameur Bouazza was his side's hero with a goal in extra-time and the Blackpool star can hardly wait to meet Egypt in the last four.
Egypt and Algeria previously met in the African section of the 2010 World Cup qualification and Les Phennecs eventually came out the strongest of the two after a 1-0 victory in the play-off game in Sudan.
"It is great playing Egypt again as it offers us a chance to prove we beat them fairly and not through luck. We won through hard work and because we have a lot of talented players," said Bouazza, according to football365.co.za.
"This team has got real character, and our team spirit is probably our greatest strength. Matches are won by happy players and that is the case with us. I am convinced we can do something special in Angola. The coach encourages us all the time and that is what we need."
