Malawi coach Kinnah Phiri wants his team to make a splash in African football and has been busy preparing his men in a training camp with 26 players for the past two-and-a-half weeks. However, he has now named his 23-man squad for the upcoming tournament in Angola.

Malawi could be a tough nut to crack as the roster is made up mostly of African based players who have had time to play with each other and build automatism. Here is coach Phiri's squad:
