CAF Marketing Assistant General Manager Sara El Gazzar told KickOff.com that they have inspected the country and are happy with everything they saw.
“The stadiums are ready. The hotels are ready and the whole CAF
committee that went to inspect the stadiums and accommodation in Angola
were impressed,” she said.
Gazzar added that all the countries taking part in the tournament have
been made aware of the fact there is nothing to fear in terms of all
aspects of the preparations.
“Security is in place and we are all happy that we will have one of the
most successful tournaments in Africa. They are ready and looking at
the countries which have qualified, it will really be a nice and hard
competition,” she added.
Andisa Nsubane from sponsors Standard Bank concurred with Gazzar and
added that everything is under control and they are also happy to
sponsor the tournament.
“It is good that we are part of African football, sponsoring five
different CAF tournaments including the Orange African Champions League
and the Orange Africa Cup of Nations.
“We have agreed to be part of the most favoured sport until 2016 which
just shows how committed we are to developing football in Africa,”
