Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has said that their opponents Mali will not be pushovers as pundits are predicting ahead of Saturday’s second west African derby in Group D at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

However, the Inter player was optimistic that the Black Stars will beat the Eagles in their second group game at the Franceville stadium.

Both teams have the chance of making it to the knockout stage, but it appears the odds favour the four-time African champions.

“We would try our best to win the game, that is the most important thing,” Muntari told the Ghana FA website. “We would be as a group as always and play the game. It’s going to be very difficult but we would try our best.”

“The Botswana game is over, now we are thinking of Mali. That's the most important thing ahead of us now.”

“We are done with Botswana, either we played good or bad we got the three points. We heading to play Mali and that’s what we want to win,” he added.
