Sudan coach Mohamed Abdalla says that his side have fresh motivation after coming back from behind twice against Angola on Thursday in Africa Cup of Nations action in Group B.

Mohamed Bashir was able to match two goals from Manucho as the Falcons of Jediane ended their second Afcon match with a 2-2 scoreline, gaining a point after their first encounter ended 1-0 in favour of favourites Cote d'Ivoire.

"We started by attacking because to continue in this competition we had to win,” Abdalla told AFP.

"We let in the first goal on a major defensive blunder, the second on a penalty but my players aren't sufficiently experienced.

"I'm happy that twice we were able to equalise. This game gives us huge motivation for our next one."

Cote d'Ivoire top Group B with six points, followed by Angola on four, then Sudan with one point, while Burkina Faso are still looking for their first positive result at the Afcon.

Sudan have to beat Burkina Faso on January 30 and hope that the Elephants beat the Palancas Negras in order to have the opportunity to qualify thanks to a superior goal difference.
