The Rangers midfielder told Goal.com that he knows about the Ipswich Town rumors, but has not been updated on any talks with his current club and the Tractor Boys.
Edu has been strongly linked to follow in the footsteps of a number of other high-profile players and depart the Scottish giants but has confirmed he lets his agent handle his future.
The USA international is currently preparing for a friendly match against Mexico and is refusing to be drawn in by the speculation.
"I know about the club, but I'm not too aware of anything that's going on [with negotiations] to be honest," Edu told Goal.com after a light training session. "Once I came over here was when all that talk started."
"Every time that I come into a national team camp I just try to focus on that. I let my agent handle all that stuff, that's what he's there for, and once I head back to Europe then I'll turn my attention back to there and try to get that sorted."
Along with his international teammates, Edu is free to find a new home. Despite the interest from the continent, though, and given the Ipswich rumors, it looks like he may not end up moving far.
The 26-year-old also refused to rule out a potential move away from the UK, adding: "I'm pretty open to be honest. I've been in the UK for a while now, so I'm pretty used to that game. But I'm pretty open to most situations."
