Atletico Madrid Step Up Interest In Olympique Lyonnais’ Francois Clerc - Report
The French defender is wanted by various clubs and Los Colchoneros have registered their interest. If the right-back does move, it will not be until next summer...
The France international full-back has decided that he does not want to stay on at Stade Gerland and will use the Bosman Ruling to find himself a new club.
Los Colchoneros are keen to bolster their defence and have already made contact with Clerc's agent, Frederic Guerra, but they will face stiff competition for his signature.
"We don't want to renew his deal with Lyon. It's a choice made to find more playing time at another club," Guerra told reporters in France.
"At this moment I'm talking with a few Italian, Spanish and French clubs.
"Anyway he will leave Lyon in June and not in January."
