Tottenham Hotspur & Manchester City Ready To Battle For Everton's Mikel Arteta
Everton's Spanish playmaker may consider his options if big money is put on the table.
Mikel Arteta is at the centre of a tug-of-war between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City as both clubs seem ready to tempt the Spaniard away from Everton.
The playmaker signed for the Toffees for just £2 million in 2005 after impressing on an initial loan spell and has often been linked with a move to Arsenal.
However, it is Spurs boss Harry Redknapp who is ready to launch an ambitious bid to bring Arteta to White Hart Lane.
Redknapp wants to bring in three quality players this summer and will fund the move with a first team cull.
They will face competition from City, who have no trouble beating Tottenham financially, however, both clubs may struggle to encourage Arteta to sign as both failed to secure European football for next season.
With the World Cup at the end of next season, Arteta will want to be performing at the highest possible level for club and country.
