The European duo are the latest to officially make a bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.It was announced late last night that Spain and Portugal have put in an official bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
With the decision on who will host the World Cup not to be made until December 2010, there is still plenty of time for those interested to express exactly that, however the giants of European football have reached an agreement, and as a result, they have made an official bid.
It has been reported by Tuttomercatoweb that if they do fail to host the 2018 World Cup, the countries will immediately declare their interest for 2022, as they seem determined to host a World Cup in the near future.
They join an always increasing list of nations that have expressed their desire to host the world’s greatest event, including England, Japan, Belgium- Netherlands, China, Qatar, Mexico, United States, Russia and Australia.
