Berbatov To Grace Manchester United Bench

Dimitar Berbatov returns to the United squad, but is only fit enough for the bench.

Berbatov recently suffered from a virus which forced him to miss Thursday's FIFA Club World Cup clash with Gamba Osaka.

The Bulgarian hitman did return to training the following day, but manager Sir Alex Ferguson has said that he doesn't feel the striker is fit enough to play the full 90 minutes of Sunday's tie.

"I still don't think Dimitar is quite ready for the game at the moment," said the boss. "He'll be on the bench and may play some of the match, but he's not ready to start. Other than that everyone is okay.

The gaffer also revealed that he is yet to make his team selection for the final, but made his intentions well known.

"I'll be playing a side capable of winning the final and hopefully we can do it."

The FIFA Club World Cup Final against LDU Quito kicks off at 10:30 GMT on Sunday.
