Sneijder And Cannavaro Doubts For Valencia Visit
Real Madrid may yet be unable to count on the services of the duo when Los Che visit on Saturday as they missed another training session on Tuesday morning.
Wesley Sneijder and Fabio Cannavaro remain doubtful for the visit of Valencia at the weekend after the duo were still unable to train with Real Madrid in the first of two sessions on Tuesday.
Los Merengues have an injury crisis at the moment with several star names already sidelined, and coach Juande Ramos is hoping that a number of players will start returning.
But Sneijder appears to be facing a race against time to be ready to face Los Che on Saturday in the Bernabéu after pulling his hamstring in the defeat to Barcelona last weekend.
Cannavaro is also still sidelined after suffering severe bruising to his pelvis and thighs when he collided with a post trying to keep Lionel Messi's goalbound shot out of the net.
There was some good news for Madrid however, as Guti returned to training after missing the Monday session while Sergio Ramos, who is suspended for the last game of 2008, worked in the gym
Gabriel Heinze, Pepe, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Mahamadou Diarrà, Rubén De la Red and Miguel Torres are also injured while new signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is likely to join in January not having recovered from his knock.
