Bologna have recently acquired Aparecido Cesar, but the January transfer campaign is far from over for the club as reports suggest that new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic wants to bring at least four new players into the squad.
Rumours show that the newly promoted club have their eye on a striker and a defender in particular.
They had originally planned to make an attempt for unhappy Inter Milan striker Hernan Crespo, but his transfer is looking less likely with teams like Real Madrid showing their interest.
The latest option that the club are considering is a move for Roma striker Vincenzo Montella, who is not getting much playing time at the Giallorossi and may be willing to make the move to Bologna.
The main factor that is likely to keep the potential deal in standby mode in his current high salary at the capital club, which the Rossoblu simply cannot match.
If L'Aeroplanino is willing to lower his wage demands, a transfer may go through. As for Mihajlovic's defence, the main transfer targets according to reports are Inter Milan's Nelson Rivas and Roma's Simone Loria.
