Giuly Blasts Racist Italy And Blames Roma For Exit
Paris Saint Germain midfielder Ludovic Giuly has launched a scathing attack on Italy and he has blasted the country for being racist...
The Frenchman has spoken about Calcio for the first time since leaving his former club Roma.
Giuly believes he was treated unfairly in the Italian capital and he has it in for Giallorossi coach Luciano Spalletti.
The player has now spilled the beans and revealed why he walked out on the Italians and there are a few reasons behind his exit.
"This is the first time I am speaking to an Italian journalist since leaving Roma," Giuly told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"Many things have been said about me but I left because I wasn't playing much at all. I left Barcelona because I wanted regular football but that didn't happen at Roma.
"Spalletti? He is a good coach and the best I have had tactically but from a human point of view he is always on the defensive, maybe he tries to protect himself.
"Racism? The problem is another one. In Italy you can feel the racism in the air."
Roma clash with Udinese at the Stadio Friuli this weekend and they will be looking to turn their fortunes around as they have been below standard thus far this term.
