The hit-man had pulled a muscle and he has been out of action for Roma. However, Baptista has been training well and has made a complete recover which will be a massive boost for the game against Sampdoria.

"Baptista has recovered from his injury and I think he will be available for the game against Sampdoria," Menendez told Romagiallorossa.com

"There have been no complications with his recovery and the muscular injury has healed completely. He just needs to get some matches under his belt if he is to play regularly but this will not be a problem.

"He is working really hard in training and I think we will see him in great condition against Sampdoria."

The Giallorossi are nine points off the pace and they face a tricky away tie this weekend against Udinese before hosting Samp at the Olimpico.
