Milan Strike Scudetto Fear Into Moratti
Inter president Massimo Moratti admits that "scary" Milan are the team to beat to the Scudetto, despite the Rossoneri’s poor start to the season.
The Nerazzurri chief saw his
side draw against Sampdoria on Saturday but, as usual, his attentions have
focussed on bitter cross-city rivals Milan.
Moratti believes that teams should not underestimate Carlo Ancelotti’s men and has tipped them for Scudetto success.
“Milan have done very well up front, but football is like this - I didn’t expect them to lose to Bologna,” Moratti told Radio Montecarlo.
“Sometimes you don’t expect certain things to happen, but they do. However, Milan are a scary team in terms of the Scudetto - they strike fear.”
Pressure
The oil tycoon then went on to talk about his own side’s shaky start on Saturday where they were held by the Blucerchiati, a game they could eality have lost.
“The first game is always a little difficult because the tension and pressure is always strong,” continued Moratti. “The opposition was also strong, as Sampdoria showed on Saturday.
“However drawing is better than losing.
On Inter boss Jose Mourinho, he asserted: “He knows his stuff. He is organised and disciplined, with a strong character. He is professional and doesn’t have any secrets.”
Clearly, though, it wasn't not the start Inter expected. Luckily. their Scudetto challengers didn’t fare any better as Roma and Juventus were also held on the first day of the season.
