Sheva To Roma? No Way - Agent

According to Oscar Darmiani, agent to Andriy Shevchenko, there is absolutely no chance his client will make the move from Chelsea to Roma.

There have been plenty of talk surrounding the Ukrainian international of late as football fans continue to wonder if his move to Milan will actually go through. The 31 year old hot shot’s return to Milan seemed imminent a few weeks ago, but instead, it has quickly turned into an on-again, off again saga.

While all that was happening, Roma have entered the fray as well when they were rumoured to be interested in the services of the Chelsea man, as they continue to look to add more attacking firepower to their squad.

However, Sheva’s agent Oscar Darmiani has ruled out the possibility of the former Dynamo Kyiv striker joining the Giallorossi, with a simple explanation.

"Sheva to Roma? No way. He earns six million a year and I don't think Roma can afford that," Darmiani revealed to romanews.eu.

The situation was always unlikely to occur as Shevchenko has stated his desire to return to Milan in the past. Hopefully, the Ukrainian's whereabouts will be decided in the near future, but Rossoneri fans are divided on whether they would be happy to see him make a return.

Shevchenko left Milan for Chelsea in 2006, but has not been as productive for the Stamford Bridge outfit in the Premiership as he was in Serie A.

In any case, Roma seem to have turned their attention to a more realistic alternative in Inter's David Suazo. The Honduran is unlikely to see much playing time under Jose Mourinho and could be on his way out of the Giuseppe Meazza very soon. However, Roma will face competition from Benfica for his services.
