Inter Players Still Calling For Mancio

It seems new Inter player Amantino Mancini has overtaken the nickname of former coach Roberto Mancini...

Even though Jose Mourinho is Inter's new coach, one of the most frequently heard names at Inter's training ground in Brunico is still "Mancio", nickname of Mourinho's predecessor Roberto Mancini.

According to Italian sports daily "Tuttosport", anyone who's had the chance to follow one of the Nerazzurri's training sessions cannot have missed this detail. But what could be the reason the Inter players still yell out the name of their former coach, you ask?

The answer is simple: they still use this nickname to refer to new team mate Amantino Mancini, the Brazilian winger who was recently signed from Roma. So Mourinho can rest assured: this is not a case of a group of players yearning for their former coach.

Despite their rivalry on the pitch, Inter and Roma have operated a number of transfers between them over the last few years. In 2006 midfielder David Pizarro left Inter for Roma, last year versatile defender Christian Chivu made the opposite journey, and Mancini is the latest player to leave Roma for Inter.
