Inter Close In On Quaresma

Portuguese daily O JOGO reports Inter Milan are lining up a summer move for Porto creative winger Ricardo Quaresma...

Ricardo Quaresma
The Portuguese international is reportedly a target of a host of big names across Europe, with Real Madrid and Inter Milan thought to be the main pursuers of the 24-year-old's signature.

With José Mourinho very close to being appointed as manager of the Nerazzurri according to the latest reports, the former Chelsea boss wants to increase his attacking options as he plans on mounting a serious Champions League challenge.

O JOGO suggests Inter Milan have already engaged in talks with Porto about the transfer of Quaresma, who has a buyout clause of €40 million attached to his contract.

The Dragons' chairman, Pinto da Costa, has stated that Quaresma will only leave the club for the figure stipulated in his release clause, which may put in jeopardy a move to Giuseppe Meazza as Inter Milan president, Massimo Moratti, is allegedly refusing to make an offer above €30 million.

Quaresma, who is currently with the Portuguese national squad in Viseu, joined Porto from Barcelona in 2004 in the deal involving Deco moving to Camp Nou.
