The young attacker has taken the time to praise the Ballon d'Or nominee and was pleased with his own contribution in the win over Celta de VigoReal Madrid youngster Jese Rodriguez has little doubt that Cristiano Ronaldo will win the Fifa Ballon d'Or as he feels the prolific attacker is unquestionably the best in the world.
The Portugal international netted twice in Madrid's 3-0 Liga win over Celta de Vigo on Monday evening to take his tally for the 2013-14 campaign to 20 goals in 17 league appearances and Jese has nothing but praise for his team-mate.
"For all of us, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best and I’m sure he’ll win the Ballon d'Or," the 20-year-old was quoted as saying on the official Madrid website.
Jese then went on to voice his satisfaction with his substitute cameo in the win over Celta, before adding that the stiff competition for places at Madrid is not an issue for him.
"In the first half we struggled a little bit because they were very compact at the back and worked the ball out well. Then [Gareth] Bale and I came on and it made a difference. It is important to help the team, that's the mentality.
"I think there is a healthy competition within the team. You have to respect the coach's decisions and keep working hard. We have the chance to be up there if we do things well."
Jese has netted twice in 10 Liga appearances so far this season.
