The newly-promoted La Liga outfit continue to bring in players for the new season, with the young Argentine forward the latest to arrive on a season-long loan
Contract: Jun 2012
Granada have announced the loan capture of Benfica forward Franco Jara for the entirety of the 2011-2012 campaign.
The 23-year-old will ply his trade with the Liga new-boys for the season, with a statement on the Spanish club's official website also confirming that they have beaten a number of teams to his signature.
"The Argentine international [Franco Jara] arrives on loan until the end of season from Benfica," the statement reads. "He is one of the most coveted players in the market and we have beaten up to half a dozen teams."
Jara arrived in Europe in January 2010 from Arsenal de Sarandi in his native Argentina, but despite fleeting appearances for Benfica, he has failed to displace the likes of Javier Saviola and Oscar Cardozo, and will now look to take advantage of his new opportunity in Spain.
