Former Cameroon International Pierre Wome On Standard Liege Radar - Report
Belgian titans Standard Liege could make a move for Cameroonian defender Pierre Wome.
By Stefan Coerts
The Rouches are looking to add a left footed defender to their squad and head coach Dominique D'Onofrio supposedly sees the 31-year-old Wome as a valuable addition to his squad.
Wome has been a free agent ever since being released by Koeln earlier this summer. The experienced defender has since been linked with a number of European clubs, but no team has so far been willing to meet Wome's personal demands.
"It's correct that Pierre Wome is still a candidate to strengthen our defence. However, even if we don't manage to sign him, there's still a big chance that we will sign a new defender in the upcoming days," Dominique D'Onofrio was quoted as saying by HLN.
Wome has also worn the jerseys of clubs such as Roma, Bologna, Fulham, Espanyol, Brescia, Inter and Werder Bremen during his lengthy career.
