Official: Artem Milevskiy Extends Dynamo Kiev Deal
Artem Milevskiy has signed a new contract with Dynamo Kiev until 2013...
By Stefan Coerts
Milevskiy is a product of the Dynamo Kiev youth academy and has made well over 100 official appearances for the Europa League hopefuls since his debut in 2002. The striker has also been capped at senior level several times.
The gifted attacker was being linked with clubs such as Liverpool and Olympique Marseille in the past couple of months, but Milevskiy has now ended the speculation by signing a contract extension.
"The main thing is that we have come to an agreement to prolong my contract with Dynamo. I must now turn my head and concentrate on helping the club. Maybe it required some time to discuss the financial issues," Milevskiy told the club's official website after penning his new deal.
"And rumours about my move then to Liverpool and Lokomotiv Moscow, it frankly prevented me, and probably the club from continuing. Journalists constantly phoned, asked to comment on any new information. I'm glad that everything is finally over and I can concentrate solely on football."
