Anderlecht Keen To Open Contract Talks With Roland Juhasz
Anderlecht are eager to hold on to the Hungarian centre-back...
By Stefan Coerts
Belgian table toppers Anderlecht are eager to open contract negotiations with highly rated defender Roland Juhasz in an attempt to convince the Hungarian international to stay with the Brussels side.
Juhasz's current Anderlecht contract is due to expire in the summer of 2011 and the defender recently revealed that he wanted to leave the club at the end of the season.
Anderlecht initially agreed to allow Juhasz a move at the end of the season in order to prevent him from leaving the Belgian powerhouse on a free transfer next summer. However, they're now having second thoughts and are keen to hold on to Juhasz.
"We want Roland to sign a new deal and he has indicated that he's interested in staying at the club if we match his demands. He knows that we pay good wages at the club and that this team has the potential to win prizes," said Anderlecht director Herman van Holsbeeck to Het Nieuwsblad.
