Hungary coach Erwin Koeman has taken the time to discuss the possible transfer and was full of praise for Rudolf, claiming that the attacker is ready to make the move to Amsterdam.
"I think that Ajax would be the perfect next step in his career. Gergely could certainly add something to Ajax. He's a very professional player and has some special qualities," said Koeman to De Telegraaf.
"He's right footed, but plays at his best on the left wing. However, he's very versatile and can play pretty much everywhere up front. He's physically very strong and could be as big a revelation as Balazs Dzsudzsak at PSV.
"It would be a missed chance for Ajax if they decide not to sign Rudolf. He has the same qualities as a player such as Miralem Sulejmani, but is way cheaper. He has never disappointed me in the shirt of Hungary."
Debrecen have reportedly set a €700,000 asking price for Rudolf. The attcker's current contract expires at the end of the season.
