Belgian first division outfit Racing Genk have made the decision to part company with head coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck following the club's disappointing results so far this campaign.

Expectations were high at the Genkies at the beginning of this campaign, but Vanhaezebrouck never really got things going. Genk currently sit only twelfth in the table following this weekend's loss against Excelsior Mouscron.

The 45-year-old Vanhaezebrouck started the job as Genk manager only six months ago. He previously worked at Kortrijk, White Star Lauwe and Sporting West.

Racing Genk are the fifth Belgian first division side to part company with their head coach this season. Aime Anthuenis (Germinal Beerschot), Aleksandar Jankovic (Lokeren), Miroslav Djukic (Excelsior Mouscron) and Stephane Demol (Charleroi) preceded Vanhaezebrouck.
