Levadia Tallinn Claim Fourth Consecutive Estonian Title
Levadia have been crowned league champions for the fourth season in a row...
The Tallinn side also extended their unbeaten league run to a record 59 league games. Levadia started the season with a 2-1 defeat against Flora in the Estonian Super Cup but recovered to produce 28 wins and four draws from their league fixtures to date.
"Well done everybody. The players did their job well. But there are some nuances we still have to work on. We have not reached our ceiling yet. We will always have some inner reserve," head coach Igor Prins said to uefa.com.
Levadia lost their leading goal scorer midway the season as Nikita Andreev moved to Spanish side Almeria. That did not hurt their championship bid though, as Vitali Gussev took up the baton and is currently the league's top goalscorer with 24 goals from 28 games.
