The winger, who was Galway’s
top-scorer last season and aided their survival in the league, has been courted
by several English clubs following a string of fine performances.
O’Shea’s celebrations following the side’s victory over UCD on Friday night were cut short as the Republic of Ireland U21 flew over to Derby to discuss a move, and his manager Jeff Kenna confirmed a deal is likely.
"I would imagine Jay will go to Derby," Kenna said.
"A deal has been struck which they're happy with. I'd be very surprised if he came back but I wish him all the best."
