The Omani international had managed to force his way into the Bolton first team last season, making ten appearances in the absence of Jussi Jaaskelainen.
The 26 year old Al Habsi is unlikely to be first choice next season if the Finn decides to remain at Bolton and thus, is rumoured to be considering an offer from the Turkish champions.
The player’s agent, Peter Harrison, refused to rule out the possibility of his client departing Gary Megson’s side, stating only that Al Habsi was considering buying the remainder of his own contract.
That decision would facilitate a transfer and save prospective clients a sizeable transfer fee. Al Habsi has one year left to run on his Bolton deal, he joined the club from Norwegian side Lyn Oslo in 2005. A decision on the player's future is expected this week.
Harrison said: "You have two weeks after the end of the season to give notice that you want to buy out your contract and I'm speaking to Ali on Monday."
