Sampdoria went ahead in the second half and then a few minutes later Udinese were able to equalise, taking a point away from the encounter.
The draw leaves both sides unsatisfied, but the Blucerchiati can be the happier of the two after winning a point away from home.
After the match Delvecchio commented: “We did more than them, but at the end we need to accept the point because we earned it against a great team in Udinese. They have not had a good result in a few games, but the value of their group is irrefutable.”
Sampdoria now prepare for Wednesday night's catch-up game against Roma at the Olimpico, and that will certainly be a tough game for Delvecchio and his team mates.
