Andrea Raggi has not been able to settle in at Palermo and according to tuttomercatoweb, the 24-year-old is very close to signing with Sampdoria.
The player has made just two appearances for the Rosanero this term and is desparate to leave in order to find first team football. The former Empoli defender had been linked with Fiorentina and Bologna, but it appears his move to Sampdoria is now simply a formality.
It is reported that Raggi will join the Genoa-based club on loan, starting this Wednesday, until June with an option to extend once the season is over. For the moment, the Rosanero will recieve €400,000 until the clubs re-negotiate in the summer.
Raggi was viewed as a promising prospect while at Empoli and the Italy U-21 squad, and he is hoping that a move will reignite his young career.
