Twenty-seven-year-old midfielder Giulio Migliaccio has extended his stay in Sicily, as he recently renewed his contract until June 2013.
The former Atalanta player has not been a permanent fixture in the starting line-up at the Stadio Renzo Barbera since his arrival in 2007, but he seems happy with his role as his agent, Francesco Caliandro, has expressed.
"This is proof that Palermo wanted to continue this relationship," he said to Mediagol. "In the end, this is what all parties wanted."
Both Migliaccio and Palermo seem to be pleased that he will continue in his current role for the club.
Migliaccio is commonly used as a holding midfielder and it seems he will most likely continue to play second fiddle in that role for Palermo this season, as coach Davide Ballardini prefers Antonio Nocerino to play that position.
Palermo's next match is the Sicilian derby, which will be played in Catania after the international break.
