This was highlighted when Robinson made a comeback into the England squad to play Germany, but was not even selected for a place on the bench for England's 2-0 win over their hosts.
Speaking to The Sunday Mirror, Ince said, "Paul's performances this season have been of England standard - no question.
"So I was gutted for him when he was put on England stand-by.
"Then, having been called up, the insult of being on stand-by was compounded by the fact that he wasn't even a substitute.
"Ray Clemence has been to see him three times, so he must know how well he has been playing.
"That makes the whole thing farcical."
Robinson returns to White Hart Lane to face his old club Tottenham Hotspur when Blackburn take on Spurs in their Premier league clash. This is the first time Robinson will have faced his old club since his summer move to Rovers in a deal worth £3.5 million.
"He's a tough lad, Robbo [Robinson]," continued Ince."He has proved that in the way he has handled his move - and how he has performed since arriving here.
"Paul has been different class and some of his performances have been world class.
"He's a leader, he's a shouter, and for me he remains the best keeper in England.
"That's what I thought of him before I bought him and I am even more convinced of that now."
