Everton's Mikel Arteta was on hand again over the weekend to show his club, and indeed his growing list of admirers, just how useful he can be.
He played a good passing game and was deadly from set-pieces. The scheming Spaniard though has told Nuts magazine that the transfer talk linking him with a move to Arsenal is "tiring."
"I've always said I'm very proud to represent this club and am happy here. [The Arsenal transfer] is a little tiring.
"We should be aiming for a top-six finish because I feel we're playing the best quality football for many seasons."
The
26-year old also quashed any rumours that he will stride out for the
English national side when he is eligible for a British passport next
year.
"My ambition is to play for Spain. Sorry - playing for England is not in my future!"
Arsenal have also been linked with a bid for Zenit's attack-minded midfielder Andrei Arshavin, although Manchester City may emerge as potential hi-jackers for any pending deal.
