The Gladbach official is of the opinion that the Venezuelan, who recently signed a new contract, has actually surpassed the legendary Germany international
Arango has been in good form this season, scoring three goals and providing six assists in 20 Bundesliga games, and on Friday extended his contract with Gladbach until 2014.
"I have not seen anyone with better feet than Juan," Bonhof told Bild.
"What he does with the ball is insane. The feeling, the touch, the genius, they're even better than [those of] Netzer!"
Sporting director Max Eberl echoed the sentiments of the vice-president, saying: "He has helped our club tremendously: in two and a half years with us he has been involved in nearly 40 goals - that speaks for itself."
Arango himself admitted that he is very happy at the club, stating: "I recently saw a report on Spanish TV in which Gladbach was called Germany's Barcelona.
"For me this was the final confirmation that I am at the right club."
The Foals are set to face Schalke in a top-of-the-table clash later on Saturday.
