Borussia Dortmund team manager Fritz Lunschermann has admitted that the team is looking to sign a top player in the coming summer transfer window.
It has been rumoured that BVB are monitoring the situation of young talent Maximilian Beister, who is plying his trade at Fortuna Dussedorf on loan from Bundesliga side Hamburg.
It is yet unclear, however, if the player is willing to make the move to the Signal Iduna Park and if HSV are willing to let him leave.
"We will sign a top player for next season, with him our play will be even more offensively oriented," Lunschermann said at a press conference, according to Neue Presse Coburg.
Beister's agent, Carsten Kuhn, confirmed in an interview with Bild that there has been interest from Dortmund in the player, but revealed that the youngster is keen to return to Hamburg.
"There are several inquiries. We will meet with one or two of the clubs. Dortmund, for example.
"Maxi wants a coach who likes to work with young players. [HSV coach Thorsten] Fink does this very well. That's a plus."
Beister has made 19 appearances for Fortuna so far this season, scoring nine goals.
