After the demonstrations against Neuer, Bayern Munich have renounced the actions of the responsible faction, who are now banned from the club with immediate effectBayern Munich have released an official statement denouncing the actions of a minority of fans who verbally abused goalkeeper Manuel Neuer during a friendly in Trentino on Wednesday.
The club added that the members of the group responsible for the incident have been told that they are unwelcome at the Allianz Arena.
"FC Bayern Munich disassociates itself both from the anti-Manuel Neuer banner and the persons in this small group. We would further advise that the group in question is extremely small and not registered with FC Bayern," read a statement by the board of directors on the club's official website.
"As a consequence of events in Arco (Trentino), the persons in this group are, effective immediately, persona non grata at FC Bayern Munich."
During the friendly against a Trentino regional team, new first-choice goalkeeper Neuer was whistled and jeered with fans holding up banners directed at the 25-year-old. One slogan read: "You may catch as many balls as you like, but we will never accept you in this shirt."
The problems seemed to have been resolved, following the round table talks between the club and fans last week, but recent events and the drastic measures taken by the management indicate the issues could be deeper than first imagined.
